The time of year is back again to celebrate the
independence of our great nation! For many of us, this means an opportunity to
shamelessly indulge in all the delicious festival food and fun the Indianapolis
area has to offer! However, there’s more than just food and fireworks downtown,
so we’ve compiled a list of all the fabulous activities for you to experience
in Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, and Zionsville on this year’s 4th

IndyPendence
Day Street Festival Concert for Cancer – 1:00pm to 10:00pm
Benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Saint
Francis Hospital Patient Assistance Fund, local and nationally known bands will
be playing on Georgia Street starting at 1:00pm. Presale tickets are $20 and
featured bands include Puddle of Mud, Sick Puppies, Hoobastank, Lit, and Alien

Donatos
Downtown Freedom Blast – 10:00pm
Shooting from the top of the Region’s Bank Tower, watch
as Indy’s largest fireworks display lights the skyline during the Donatos
Downtown Freedom Blast! Bring a blanket and grab our spot early at the Indiana
War Memorial Grounds. There will be plenty of activities starting at 6:30pm to
entertain the entire family as well as Donatos pizza, chips, cookies and soda
for purchase (cash only). Stop by the Indianapolis Colts Stage with live music
from the band Lemon Wheel, and also be sure to visit the Indiana Craft Beer

City of Carmel
Any new or native resident of the City of Carmel surely
knows about the spectacle that is CarmelFest! This year is all the more
special, as it is the 25th anniversary of CarmelFest, and thus aptly
titled “Silver Jubilation”. Guests are encouraged to purchase and wear a Spark
Button, as proceeds go toward the purchase of the spectacular fireworks show.

Freedom Run –
8:00am
Jump-start your Independence Day celebration with this
4.5 mile run/walk and Kid’s Run at Carmel High School. Also, guests are invited

St. Vincent
Health Fourth of July Parade – 10:30am
One of the greatest CarmelFest traditions, the Fourth of
July Parade will begin at 10:30am and is sponsored by St. Vincent Health. To

. Parade entries for 2013 are closed, but come enjoy all of the fabulous sights
that it has to offer!
Free Outdoor
Festival at Carmel Civic Square – Noon to 10:30pm
This free festival is a must-see, as it plays host to
fantastic food, beverages, and a variety of events and entertainment for all to
enjoy! Take in the live music, KidZone including petting zoo, rides and games,
performance by Carmel Symphony Orchestra, and fireworks launched by Firestone!
Town of Fishers
Come celebrate July 4th
at what is being called the biggest block party of the summer at Geist
Reservoir’s Blast on the Bridge! The Fall Creek Road bridge closes to car
traffic from 5:00pm – 11:00pm and transforms into a family-friendly fireworks
pre-show. Bring lawn chairs and enjoy a fabulous evening featuring a boat
parade, skydivers, music, food vendors, and much more. Then, relax and enjoy
the amazing fireworks show scheduled to start at dusk. Over 14,000 attendees in

Town of Zionsville
Take a trip over to Lions Park for
an All-American July 4th Celebration! The second largest fundraiser
for the park, the celebration features food, music and fun starting at 5:00pm
and followed by fireworks at dusk. Be sure to purchase raffle tickets at $5
each or 5 for $20, with a $1000 grill package as the grand prize and cash
prizes for 2nd and 3rd! Proceeds for the raffle go to the
park restoration fund and will be used to help restore Lions Club Park after
the recent floods. Raffle tickets can be purchased at Akard’s True Value, or
from a Lions Club or Little League member! If you cannot find someone to buy
